  1. On Sat and Sun , 28th and 29th September we staged our first ever working weekend. Big thanks go to Paul Beecham for organising another top event. The weather was kind to us both days and although Sat was a slow day with only a few on the field Sunday brought the tractors out in force. Over 34 people on the field at one point, which was a great sight to see. Thanks to all those who attended, we have managed to raise £332 towards Mill funds.
A great way to spend the weekend - hope to see you all next year!
One volunteer did go AWOL- could be a disciplinary hearing pending on this one,
he looks to be having far too much fun !!!! wd8
  2. For some this spell of hot weather has meant relaxing evenings in the garden , a BBQ with family and friends and a pleasant change to the rain we experienced last year. For the team here it has been an opportunity to complete some additional maintenance on the sails and cap ready for winter and hopefully the arrival of some decent wind.
We have 2 seasons at the Mill, Winter and Construction. Our season of Construction, when the wind be-calms us ,we are hastily proofing, painting and oiling anything that we can get to. Winter will bring the opportunity to really test this finely tuned machine, its a bit like taking a new car on a straight bit of road and seeing what it can do and in the same way we get quite excited at the prospect of revving this fantastic machine and letting her rip!  All we need now is the WIND !!!
